When my spouse Tony was diagnosed as critically ill with Interstitial Lung Disease back in November 2023, it felt as though our world had suddenly shifted beneath our feet. It was a moment of profound realization, coming at a time when we had just taken a significant step in our lives by buying our first home. Tony had to take a step back from his job due to his condition, and now relies on exertional oxygen whenever he steps outside, just to manage everyday activities.
Since that diagnosis, Tony’s resilience has been the guiding light that has helped us navigate through the darkest of times. Together, we’ve faced the complexities of treatments, countless doctor appointments, unexpected setbacks, and all the other obstacles that have come our way.
Our new clothing design beautifully captures Tony’s journey, featuring a lung on one side and a blossoming array of flowers on the other. It’s a poignant symbol of his strength and the possibility for growth and renewal, even in the face of adversity.
With each purchase, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Lung Association to support their research into this debilitating disease. It’s our way of standing in solidarity with Tony and all those affected by ILD, offering support and fostering hope for a brighter future.
